Know About Rudraksha

Rudraksha (also called as Rudraksh) are dried seeds of a tree, which grows in select locations of South East Asia, botanically known as Elaeocarpus Ganitrus. It is also called “Tears of Shiva” and there are many legends connected to Lord Shiva that describe its origin. The number of faces a bead can have varies from a single face up to 21 faces. They are used for different purposes, so it would be improper to just buy something in the shop and put it on the body. Types of Rudraksh-

1 Mukhi Rudraksha Or ekmukhi rudraksha: Lord Shiva is the presiding deity of this Rudraksha. It brings awareness of the supreme consciousness.

2 Mukhi Rudraksha Or domukhi rudraksha:  Ardhanarishwar, the combined form of Shiva and Shakti, is the presiding deity of this Rudraksha. It brings unity and harmony and represents the Guru-shishya relationship.

3 Mukhi Rudraksha Or teenmukhi rudraksh: Agni or fire is its presiding divinity of this Rudraksha. It facilitates the release from the bondage of past karma. 

4 Mukhi Rudraksha Or chaarmukhi rudraksh: Guru is the presiding deity of this Rudraksha. It helps the seekers of higher knowledge. 

5 Mukhi Rudraksha panchmukhi rudraksha: Kalagni Rudra is the presiding divinity of this Rudraksha. This Rudraksha enhances our inner awareness, leading us to our Higher Self.

6 Mukhi Rudraksha Or sixmukhi rudraksha: Lord Karthikeya is the presiding deity of this Rudraksha. It brings overall balance and emotional stability. 

7 Mukhi Rudraksha Or Saatmukhi rudraksha: Goddess Lakshmi is the presiding deity of this Rudraksha. It brings new opportunities for wealth and also aids our health.

8 Mukhi Rudraksha Or asthmukhi rudraksha: Lord Ganesha is the presiding deity of this Rudraksha. This Rudraksha facilitates the removal of obstacles.

9 Mukhi Rudraksha Or ninemukhi rudraksha: Goddess Durga is the presiding divinity of this Rudraksha. It represents power and dynamism and helps us gain both, worldly enjoyments and liberation.

10 Mukhi Rudraksha Or dasmukhi rudraksha : Lord Krishna is the presiding deity of this Rudraksha. It represents love and peace. As per the scriptures, this is one of the most powerful Rudrakshas.

11 Mukhi Rudraksha Or elevenmukhi rudraksha: The 11 minor Rudras are the presiding deity of this Rudraksha. It mitigates the negative influence of the planets. 

12 Mukhi Rudraksha Or twelvemukhi rudraksha: The sun is the presiding deity of this Rudraksha. It brings radiance and power, helps us get rid of low self-esteem, leading to self-motivation.

13 Mukhi Rudraksha Or thirteenmukhi rudraksha: Kamadeva is the presiding deity of this Rudraksha. It manifests attraction in us and also facilitates the awakening of kundalini and other powers (siddhi)

14 Mukhi Rudraksha Or fourteenmukhi rudraksha : Lord Hanuman is the presiding deity of this Rudraksha. It represents courage and will power.

The 15 Mukhi Rudraksha to 21 Mukhi Rudraksha is not so commonly found and hence rarely used.

Rudraksha beads are the most ancient beads, which grows on Elaeocarpus Ganitrus Roxb trees at selected locations of South East Asia (Java, Korea, parts of Malaysia, Taiwan, China) and South Asia (Northern India and Nepal). Rudraksha is the purest, the most effective, useful, ancient beads. Rudraksha is the seed of a fruit. It grows in bunches. They bloom in May, June and ripen between September to November. Its pulp is hard and remains stuck to its seed. It is kept in water for a number of days and then Rudraksha is taken out after peeling off the pulp. Rudraksha beads are a plant product, containing Aluminium, Chlorine, Copper, Cobalt, Nickel, Iron, Magnesium, Manganese, Phosphorus, Potassium, Sodium, Zinc, Silicon, Silver and Gold. The electromagnetic properties of Rudraksha are due to these elements. The percentage compositions of gaseous elements were determined by C-H-N Analyzer and by Gas chromatography. The result shows that Rudraksha beads consist of 50.031% carbon, 0.95% nitrogen, 17.897% hydrogen and 30.53% oxygen. The original whitish color of Rudraksha is dyed into orange color which is a symbolic color of the saints and sages.

Rudraksha has powerful Electromagnetic properties in controlling stress, blood pressure, improves blood flow and circulation.

The whole human body acts as a complex bio-electric circuit consisting of nervous system and other organs. Electrical impulses are generated in the body because of the continuous heart beats, blood circulation, and conduction of sensory and motor impulses in nerves, contraction and relaxing of muscles. These electrical impulses are known as bio-electricity. Because of difference in the energy levels of different body parts, flow of bio-electric current starts. This resistance generates a specific ampere of current flow depending on the factor of resistance. This acts in coordination with the heartbeat, streamlining it and sending out specific impulses to the brain to generate certain bio-chemicals in the brain which brings about a positive mood and more confidence making us feel better, more poised and energetic.

Rudraksha also acts as a capacitor, this means the ability to store bio-electric energy. The increased level of stress results in increased physical activity within the body along with increase in heart beats, hormonal activity and activity of the nerves, thus increasing energy levels and potential differences at different levels as a result, the flow of bio-electric current increases in the body. Rudraksha beads acts as capacitor or dielectric store when it comes in contact with body and absorbs or stores this excess of bio-energy controlling the overall activity in the body and it brings it back to normalcy.

Rudraksha sends out specific inductive vibrations because of its unique magnetic properties. These vibrations are the reason why people feel better even when the beads do not touch them physically.

Rudraksha is very useful in patients of certain mental disorders and is helpful in enhancing memory
